The semester is finally over!  I can not say how happy I am.  It has been very difficult this time as I'm learning that not all teachers (college level included) are there to help their students or to even teach them what they need to know.  It should not be a task that you have to perform, it should be one that you want to perform.  If a student asks for assistance or clarification on something then as an educator it is your job to respond in a helpful manner, not in a sarcastic manner.  You do not know what that student goes home to, so you don't know if they are an air head or someone facing a lot of stress - just get over yourself and give the person an informed answer.

New Beginning

Hi,
This is my 8th blog over the years, and I've just decided that instead of continuing to try to merge I'm going to start a new one!  I like to document things I'd like to remember or things I'd like to share with my daughter when she is older.  Some times I just like to chat.
Right now I am in the process of working on two different scarves - one crochet and one knit - it's slow going!  The weather is not cooperating with me very often.  I've always loved to do needle work in the winter when it's cold.  This winter has not been very cold - but I will not complain as I do not like the cold.  I am also in the process of making a few outfits for Kathleen.  We just finished matching up some fabrics with patterns yesterday.  I'll have to upload some photos of them tomorrow.
I've also got some interesting ideas about school projects floating about that I really need to get busy working on - biggest problem?  Procrastination!
Take today, we slept late, I went to class, came home and we went to practice piano.  After that, we came back home and I had forgotten to go to the store to pick up dinner.  So back in the car, to the store, the big decision of what to eat... We settled on spaghetti, which we already had at home =)  So back in the car, pull in the driveway and oops, we forgot the piano books at Grans.  So I drop off the bread we picked up at the store and away we go again.  Once we get to Grans, Kathleen decides to call Gran, so a few minutes later we are out the door, in the car and in reverse.  Then we start thinking about the neighbors cat, wonder where he is and why we haven't seen him in over a week.  Back in park - out of the car and to the front porch where Kathleen thinks she saw a tail.  No tail, no cat, and around the side of the house, no tail, no cat.  Oh wait I think he went into the neighbors (says Kathleen) so I suggest we just head home.  We get in the car and in reverse, then she looks out the window and there is Bear sitting in the flowers beside the car.  Back in park =)  out of the car and playtime begins with Kathleen, Bear and the creeping juniper - 40 minutes or so later we are on the way home again.
No sewing, no projects, but you know what?  I got a great picture of Bear and had a fabulous laugh watching them play!
